Week 3, Final Question

Hi girls,

Those were fun presentations today. Thanks for all of your hard work. I know that it was always easy, but in the end, I think it was worth it.

Here's the final question:

When you go back to Japan, what will you tell people (friends, family) about your volunteering experience here in Missoula? Be specific.

Thanks again.

Josh

  1. I'll talk my friend about enjoying children. It was very fun. They taught me some English word. And they spoke to me a lot. When we leave there today, a boy said like "I'll miss you". I want to meet them if the opportunity arises.

  2. When I go back to Japan, I'll tell my family and my friends about differences between Japanese thinking and American thinking for volunteer. I was surprised at American devoted thinking for volunteer. NPO which all most of American people take part in are very important role in American society,I think. NPOs do things that a government have to do but they can't do for the nation. So NPOs are very important for our life. On the other hand, in Japanese society, we don't think volunteer organizarion just like NPOs are important for our life. So we think that volunteers are very rare experiences. Volunteers are very popular for American, but they are rare for Japanese. I think this is cultural differnce and mechanism of society. It's very interesting. So I want to tell about this.

  3. Hi! I'll talk about a difference between American children and Japanese children.
I was so surprised at a Boys & Girls Club because American children are very outgoing and express their opinions. They always ask staff and talk to us friendly. Almost Japanese children don't do that. I was so happy when I talk and play with children. I had a good time there. Thank you.

  5. I'll talk about difference thinking Japanese and American to my family and my friends.
American children can be anything compared to Japanese children.
For example American children can play billiards, archery and skateboard‥‥etc.
I was surprised.Becouse Japanese children is not.Billiards is played as an adult in Japan. And Archery is not even as a child in Japan.
If I would be angry when I draw the picture on the road in Japan.
But,In American children always drawing on the road.I was very surprised when I saw first. It's very interested. so I want to talk about those.
